Pre-implant alveolar ridge distraction

The principle underlying this surgical technique is the controlled transfer of bone pedicled to the soft tissue, using bone segments previously separated with osteotomes.
The objective of this intervention is the primarily stable insertion of implants without pre-implantation augmentation when there is a pronounced lack of sufficient bone available.
The advantages of this surgical technique include the considerably shorter duration of treatment and the minimization of bone loss.
In our practice, this procedure is carried out while the patient is in a deep sleep or under general anesthesia.
